2008 Grant Awards

The Castro Valley Educational Foundation is pleased to announce our grant awards for 2008. Eighteen projects are being funded for a total of $16,208.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Wright Group Take Two kits, books and lesson plans

Jensen Ranch Elementary School, $1175

Portable electronic balances for 6th grade science and materials for a new special education classroom

HIGH SCHOOLS

Computer for school newspaper, tabletop easels for art classes, and LCD projectors and books for English classes

Redwood High School, $1500
Greenhouse potting tables and covering for horticulture classes

Castro Valley Adult School, $500
ASL teaching materials

 

DISTRICT PROGRAMS

Special Services, $1000
DVD for TT and parent education on autism and ADHD. Books for autistic and dyslexic students.

About the Grant Program
  

Grant Process:

Applications are due February 1 of each calendar year.

After the cut-off date, the CVEF grant committee begins evaluation, and no additional submissions can be considered.

Evaluation of all grants is usually completed  six weeks after the cutoff date.

All applicants are notified of the decision concerning their grant as promptly as possible.

Grants are presented at a Castro Valley Unified School District meeting in April.
