With the cost of college rising between 6 to 20 percent per year, it is becoming more and more difficult to afford a college education in today’s world. A four-year undergraduate degree at UC is  currently projected to cost over $105,000, while  the average cost of tuition, room, and board at private institutions now exceeds $48,000 per  year. Tuition at UC and California State  University schools has nearly doubled in the last few years, and even our community colleges are becoming less affordable as the state budget crisis has necessitated increases in fees.

While we can be proud of the accomplishment s of our students graduating from Castro Valley schools, they need our help.

Support our students in their quest for additional education and training as they strive to achieve their career goals. Donate to the CVEF Scholarship Program. Make an individual contribution or through your business, club, organization or estate. Fill out the donation form on the other side of this flap and send it along with your contribution to CVEF at the address listed. If you would like to create a new scholarship or if you are interested in an endowment, please call our Scholarship Coordinator, Dr. Neal Fong, All donations will be used entirely for scholarships and are fully tax-deductible.

Help our Castro Valley students succeed in accomplishing their life goals by becoming a scholarship sponsor/donor. You can sponsor a scholarship with a donation of as little as $100. It is a great way to show your support for the community while also promoting your business, remembering a loved one, supporting a cause, or encouraging our young people toward a particular career path.

The Castro Valley Educational Foundation will help you create a scholarship that meets your particular needs and desires. Our scholarship coordinators will walk you through the steps to establish your scholarship, then handle promotion, administration, selection, and the award process for you. All contributions made to CVEF are fully tax-deductible and will be used 100% to fund scholarships. We want to make it easy for you to support our students!

A scholarship is a wonderful way to celebrate your accomplishments and encourage others to follow in your footsteps. For families, there is no better way to leave a lasting legacy than by creating a memorial scholarship for a loved one.

Sponsoring a scholarship can help advertise your business within the Castro Valley community and show your goodwill.

You can encourage students to consider careers in your particular field by creating a targeted scholarship

Scholarships can help you recognize individuals, increase membership, and support the causes you believe in.

A great way to show appreciation to your school or thank teachers and staff for their support is to start a scholarship that will benefit recent graduates of your alma mater.
