Ever wonder why you can't remember something you just studied last night? why you can only pay attention to a limited number of things? how your eyes and brain work to let you see the world around you? The Psychology Playground has a sampling of the simple tasks and illusions that psychologists use to study how our minds see, interpret, and remember the world.

David Fencsik's Biography:
I am a native of the Bay Area, born and raised in Berkeley. I moved to Portland, OR, for college, then Ann Arbor, MI, for graduate school. After completing my Ph.D. in 2003, I worked as a Research Fellow in the Visual Attention Lab at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. In 2007, I returned to the Bay Area to become a professor at Cal State East Bay (formerly Cal State Hayward).
