Overview of Our 3 Main Programs
Scholarship Program
Support our CVHS graduating seniors in their quest for additional education and training as they strive to achieve their career goals by donating to the CVEF Scholarship Program.
You can make an individual contribution or through your business, club, organization, or estate. Or it’s a great way to remember a loved one that has died.
If you would like to create a new scholarship or if you are interested in an endowment, please contact our Scholarship Coordinator Sara Mascio at sara@cvef.org. All donations will be used entirely for scholarships and are fully tax-deductible.

Innovation Grant Program

The Castro Valley Educational Foundation awards grants to CVUSD teachers and other district employees, students, parents, and others for programs or projects that are especially effective in promoting academic excellence for the students of the Castro Valley Unified School District.
Grants, up to a maximum of $1,500 per grant, are awarded once each year. Applicants must complete a “Grant Application Form,” which must be received electronically or at the proper address by the published cutoff date.
Current Innovation Grant information is available here.
Friends of Education
Each year CVEF gives Friends of Education Awards to recognize the wonderful individuals and organizations that make Castro Valley such a special place.
We give this award to the teacher, administrator, classified employee, parent/guardian, and business or organization that has made a difference in our schools. We are so pleased that CVEF receives so many outstanding nominations each year!
As a non-profit organization, we depend on fundraising to support the program, including advertisements, grants, and individual contributions to fund the operational costs of this program, in addition to ticket sales for performances.
Current Friends of Education information is available here.
